The Benefits of Going Barefoot

Many people put shoes on first thing in the morning and don’t remove them until they arrive home 10+ hours later.

The primary benefit of walking barefoot is that it helps restore your natural walking pattern. You don’t have shoes getting in the way.


Other benefits include:


• Better control of your foot as hit hits the ground

• Improved balance and body awareness

• Easier to maintain the proper range of motion in your foot and ankle

• Strengthens your leg muscles

• Relief from common foot ailments such as hammertoes and bunions


Of course, there are times in your day when you have no choice but to wear shoes. For instance, when you go to work, school, or into a retail store.


It may not be possible for you all day long, but do your best to go barefoot when you can. Doing so will bring many health benefits to your life — and there’s nothing wrong with that!
