These Healthy Foods Can Provide an Energy Boost

Where do you turn when you need an energy boost? Do you pour yourself a cup of coffee? Do you chug an energy drink? Do you sip on a Pepsi or Coke?

While there are many foods and beverages that can give you an energy boost, many of them (see above) are not healthy for you. So, while you think you’re doing something good for your body, you’re actually harming it.

If you need an energy boost, regardless of the time of day, here are some healthy foods you should consider.

•    Bananas

•    Brown rice

•    Sweet potatoes

•    Eggs

•    Apples

•    Oatmeal

•    Quinoa

•    Yogurt

•    Avocados

•    Oranges

•    Beans

•    Green tea

You get the point. You don’t have to turn to coffee and energy drinks to energize your body. There are healthier alternatives that are every bit as convenient (and more satisfying).

Get into the habit of eating and/or drinking one or more of the foods and beverages from the list above. This will help provide you with the energy needed to reach peak performance every day of the week.
