Jennifer has been practicing massage therapy and esthetics since 2006. She completed her esthetics and micro-dermabrasion training at the Esthetics Institute in Vienna, Virginia, and her massage therapy training at the National Massage Therapy Institute in Falls Church, Virginia. She is nationally certified through NCBTMB, and licensed in Virginia for both Massage Therapy and Esthetics. Jennifer is certified in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy®, Traditional Thai Massage, is certified in Pregnancy Massage, Lomi Lomi, Isometric Muscle and Body Balancing, Massage Cupping, Lava Shell Massage, Stretch Therapy.
As an esthetician, Jennifer believes in a natural approach to skincare, preferring gentle formulations that produce healthy beautiful skin from within. She is also a Certified Holistic Health Coach, but currently chooses to focus on massage and facials and running Serendipity Wellness Studio.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts from Newcomb College at Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Maryland. Jennifer studied Traditional Thai Massage at the Thai Institute in Arlington, Virginia, which is the official seat of the Shivagakomarpaj Lineage in the West. She is certified through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners as a Holistic Health Coach.
Jennifer's massages incorporate much of her massage education. She usually includes swedish, deep tissue, lomi lomi, trigger point therapy, massage cupping and stretch therapy in each of her custom therapeutic massage sessions.
She has also studied The Bendable Body Method of resistance stretching and is very much looking forward to teaching Serendipity clients this amazing way of stretching that has changed her life and has her pain free.

I scheduled an appointment for a 60-minute Custom Therapeutic Massage with Jennifer, and wow was it an incredible experience! Without going into every detail about what made the massage itself great (hot towels, heated table, excellent aromas, too much to mention!), there are a few things about the entire experience that are absolutely worth mentioning. First, Jennifer herself--as so many others have already stated--is brilliant. She was conversational and took the time to get to know me and my lifestyle a little bit.
