Everyone talks about the importance of a strong core, but do you really know why this is so important? Do you know the many ways this can improve your body and overall level of health?
Before we talk about the benefits of a strong core, here are the muscles and other regions that make up this part of your body:
Abdominals
Back
Obliques
Glutes
Pelvic floor
Spine
Diaphragm
Now that you know what the core anatomy looks like, here are some of the many benefits of core strengthening.
Stabilizing the lower back: with this, you reduce the likelihood of injury while improving physical performance.
Improved flexibility: generally speaking, a stronger core leads to improved flexibility.
Better posture: it doesn’t matter if you’re sitting or standing, a strong core allows you to continually maintain proper posture.
Enhanced balance: imbalance poses risks such as stumbling, tripping, and falling. A strong core enhances your balance, which reduces the risk of falling and injuring yourself.
With benefits like these, there’s no reason to put it off any longer. Now’s the time to introduce exercises for strengthening your core.
