Benefits of a Cold Shower After a Morning Workout

Updated: Jun 20

There’s no better feeling than waking up in the morning and getting in a good workout. However, once your workout comes to an end, you’re faced with the rest of your day. And depending on what your schedule looks like, it can be intimidating.

A cold shower after a morning workout can help you prepare for the day ahead. Here’s how:

  • It calms your itchy skin: A good workout will build up a good sweat. And when that happens, your skin may begin to itch. Use a cold shower to calm your itch so you’re not uncomfortable all day.

  • It reduces muscle soreness: Even if you workout regularly, you must still take steps to combat muscle soreness. A cold shower immediately following exercise is a great way to do this.

  • To improve the appearance of your hair and skin: A cold shower — it doesn’t even have to be a long one — will give your hair and skin a healthy glow.

So, if you’re not taking a cold shower after a morning workout, you’re missing out on these benefits (among others). Give it a try tomorrow and see what happens.
