Don’t Let Rainy Spring Weather Affect Your Mood
Updated: Mar 25
After being cooped up in your home all winter, it’s natural to get excited about warmer spring and summer weather.
Unfortunately, this time of the year often brings a lot of rain, too. Furthermore, many people find that dark and gloomy rainy days affect their mood.
Rather than let this happen to you, here are some of the things you can do to maintain a good spirit when it’s dark and wet outside:
• Brave the rain: For example, there’s nothing wrong with taking a short jog in the rain. It may not be as fun as doing so when the sky is clear, but at least you’re able to spend time outdoors.
• Read a good book: Let the pages take you to a faraway place. A place where there’s no rain bogging you down. There’s nothing like getting caught up in a good book on a rainy spring day.
• Work indoors: Is there a painting project you’ve been wanting to tackle? Do you need to do some spring cleaning? Working indoors will help pass the time. Not to mention the fact that it allows you to remain productive.
The next time it rains this spring, consider if any of the ideas above could help you maintain a positive outlook.
